Should Spotty the monkey eat the banana?

You play inside the mind of Spotty, a monkey that wants to eat a banana. Spotty has never eaten a banana before. He has heard both delicious and terrifying things about them.

Spotty decides to look around to see what other people have to say about the situation. All it does is confuse him more.

There is too much information surrounding this topic and he can’t make up his mind!

Everyone says different things about the situation, and he's unable to process it all. Nothing is making sense. What should he believe and what should he not?

Help him sort the information he's collected and make a decision!

• Bananas is a card sorting game where the player must pick 4 cards that make sense together, and help Spotty decide whether he should eat the banana or not.
• Various cards with information keep shuffling throughout the game. Keep the cards you think are fitting to the scenario, and discard the cards that aren’t, by pressing X.
• When you think you’ve made a set of 4 cards, press confirm!
• Hint: Pay attention to the monkey’s inner thoughts!

This game was made for the Media Game Jam hosted by Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan in collaboration with Cologne Game Lab in the Technische Hochschule Köln. The topic for this jam was Media Literacy.
